Privacy policy
What we collect, why we use it and your choices.
1. Who looks after your data
Fons Ltd, trading as Invited.you, is responsible for the personal information described here. We are based in the UK. Our address is in Terms.

2. What you give us
Your email, chosen name and request. A protected-name review can include your relationship to the name, an official link and your explanation. Reports and data requests contain the details you submit and your reply email, if provided.
If you use a paid profile, we also handle the account details and content needed to provide it. Do not send sensitive documents through these forms.
3. What we record
Request status, dates, email preferences, delivery records and manual review decisions. We record when you declare you are 18 or over and which policy you accepted; we do not routinely collect your date of birth or ID.
Private tokens and a seven-day browser session help manage your request. We use security and connection information to prevent abuse. Some identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous.
4. Visits and invitations
Shared links can record the referring name, sharing channel and click time. We may link this to a request you make.
Paid profile analytics can include visits, clicks, source, device and approximate location. Name checks use existing holds and protection rules. You can ask us to review a result.
5. Why we use it
To provide what you request and prepare or perform your contract; to protect the service and handle disputes in our legitimate interests; and to meet legal duties.
Where marketing needs consent, we ask separately. Confirming an email is not permission for unrelated marketing. You can withdraw consent or object to relevant processing.
6. Who receives it
Supabase supports our data services, Resend delivers email, and Stripe processes paid subscriptions. Hosting, security and authorised support providers help run the service.
Some processing may happen outside the UK. Contact privacy@invited.you for information about our providers and the safeguards for transfers.
7. Email choices
We send messages needed for a request you start. Confirmed availability alerts and other updates follow the preferences for that request.
Unsubscribing stops those updates; it does not release a confirmed name. We keep enough information to respect your choices.
8. How long we keep it
A pending request expires after 24 hours; a browser session after seven days. A confirmed free reservation ends 48 hours after public launch unless activated with a paid subscription. Expiry is not erasure.
We keep records needed to manage names, handle disputes and respect email choices. Existing paid analytics and export rights remain in place. You can request deletion; some legal, accounting and security records may need to be retained.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy where applicable. You can also object to certain uses of your information.
Email privacy@invited.you or use Make a data request. We may need to verify your identity. You can complain directly to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
10. Your profile images
The redesigned profile has one avatar and one background image. A successful replacement removes the previous image from the active profile and triggers storage deletion. Keep your own originals.
Cached or backup copies may remain temporarily. Device tilt is processed in your browser; the current card does not send movement readings to us.
