1. Who we are, and what this is
invited.you is operated from the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@invited.you. These terms are the contract between you and us. The acceptable use policy, the name licence and the privacy policy form part of them.
2. Who can have an account
You must be at least 13 to have an invited.you account. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 13, and an account we discover to belong to someone under 13 is closed.
If you are between 13 and 17, you may hold a creator account, but a parent or guardian has to be involved. You accept our creator and community rules. They confirm that you may use invited.you, and they take on the subscription and the payment in their own name. Until they have confirmed, the account exists but cannot be activated and your page cannot be published.
We ask for your date of birth before your account can publish anything. It is never shown publicly.
3. Your account
You create your account with an email address and a password you choose. Keep the address current and the inbox secure: anyone with access to it can reset your password and take control of your addresses. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication in your settings.
4. What you're buying, and what it costs
The Founder subscription is US$9.99/month, including any applicable tax. Paid monthly, it renews automatically every month until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no other mandatory fee.
You can pay annually instead: US$99.90 a year, including any applicable tax — twelve months for the price of 10. An annual plan covers twelve months and renews automatically each year until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the period you have already paid for runs to its end — we do not refund the unused part of a period outside your statutory rights. Your 14-day right to cancel in section 6 applies to monthly and annual plans alike.
The US$9.99/month Founder price stays available for as long as the qualifying Founder subscription remains continuously active. If the subscription ends and you later resubscribe, the pricing available at that time applies.
Invited may introduce different plans or pricing for new subscriptions in the future. That does not change the price of a subscription that is already running.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
5. Where a parent or guardian holds the subscription
Where the creator is between 13 and 17, the parent or guardian who confirms the account is the person who contracts with us for the subscription. They accept these terms and the billing obligations in their own capacity — not on the creator's behalf — and they are the person we bill, the person who can cancel, and the person the 14-day cancellation right below belongs to.
The creator separately accepts our rules about what may be published. Those rules govern access to the service: we can restrict or withdraw an account for breaking them regardless of who is paying.
6. Starting straight away, and your 14-day right to cancel
You have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel it, without giving a reason.
Because your address goes live immediately, we ask you at checkout to confirm: "I request that Invited begins providing the service immediately, during my 14-day cancellation period."
That confirmation does not give up your 14-day right to cancel. Ticking this does not give up your 14-day right to cancel. It means that if you do cancel within those days, you pay a proportionate amount for the service you have already used. We refund the balance.
Full details, the ways to cancel and the model cancellation form are at invited.you/cancel. You do not have to use the form — any clear statement that you want to cancel is enough.
7. Cancelling after the 14 days
You can cancel at any time from your billing page or by emailing us. Cancelling ends your plan at the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not refund the unused part of a period outside your statutory rights. A payment that is refunded or disputed suspends the addresses it paid for.
8. Your name is a licence, not a purchase
You do not buy or own an invited.you subdomain. You receive a limited, revocable right to use one while your subscription is active and you are eligible and compliant. It is not a domain name, not property, and not a trademark. The name licence sets out what happens when a subscription ends.
9. Your content, and what we may do with it
Everything you publish stays yours. You keep ownership of your text, your images and your links.
To run the service you grant us the rights reasonably necessary to host, store, resize and re-encode, display, transmit, moderate and scan what you publish, and to pass it to the service and safety providers who do those jobs for us. In practice that means: images are re-encoded and stripped of embedded metadata before they are stored; images are classified by Sightengine before they become publicly visible; published images served through our network are matched against known child sexual abuse material by Cloudflare; and the links you publish are checked against URL classification and threat data. The privacy policy names every provider.
This licence exists so we can operate and moderate the service. It is not a licence to sell your work, and it ends with your content.
10. What may be published, and what may be linked to
The acceptable use policy governs both. In short: pornography may not be hosted on invited.you by anyone; ordinary suggestive imagery — swimwear, fitness, fashion, glamour, lingerie — is allowed; and an eligible creator aged 18 or over may link out to lawful adult destinations, which we label 🌶 Spicy and put an interstitial in front of.
You are responsible for the destinations you point at. We may classify, label, warn about, disable or block a destination, and we may do so without notice where it is unsafe.
Accounts held by 13-to-17-year-olds cannot use 🌶 Spicy links, cannot link to known adult destinations, and cannot set one as their root redirect. That restriction ends by itself when the account reaches 18.
11. Moderation, and what we can do
We may remove content, disable an individual link or redirect, take a page offline, suspend an account, terminate an account, and restore any of those. We record what we did, when, why and who did it.
Where the law requires it we will preserve material and report it — including to the National Crime Agency in the case of child sexual exploitation and abuse. We do that whether or not anyone has complained, and we do not tell the account holder in advance where doing so would prejudice an investigation.
Automated screening makes mistakes. If an image or a link of yours was refused and you think that is wrong, ask us to look again — the message you get when something is refused says how.
12. Reporting a problem
Anyone can report an address at invited.you/report or by emailing abuse@invited.you. You do not need an account and you do not have to give your name.
13. Names, brands and disputes
To keep the platform trustworthy we may refuse or cancel a registration; suspend an address used abusively or fraudulently; hold back, reclaim or protect names connected to trademarks, public institutions, well-known people, system routes or our own future features; and require evidence of rights before releasing a protected name. Registering a name does not mean we have checked it against anybody's rights, and we do not say that it does.
Where we cancel a registration through no fault of yours, we refund the unused portion of your subscription.
14. Availability
We work to keep addresses fast and continuously available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Service may be briefly interrupted by maintenance, network events or abuse response. Sites you redirect to are not ours and may change or disappear independently of us.
15. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to the address on your account — and, for an account held by someone under 18, to the guardian as well — before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer you keep any protections of the law where you live.
